Abstract: Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is defined as Butane, propane, and other light ends (q.v.) separated from natural gasoline or crude oil by fractionation or other processes. At atmospheric pressure, liquefied petroleum gases revert to the gaseous state (Illustrated Petroleum Reference Dictionary). LPG is defined as A product of petroleum gases principally propane and butane, it must be stored under pressure to keep it in a liquid state it is often stored in metal cylinders (bottled gas) and used for fuel for tractors, trucks, and buses, and as a domestic cooking or heating fuel in rural areas (Dictionary of Scientific and Technical Terms).
