Abstract: Today, the operation of offshore gas pipeline systems is a necessity to actively compete in the constantly expanding market areas of our country and to meet the energy crisis our nation faces. Offshore development of potential reserves has been retarded by cancellation of offshore lease sales, legal battles and political battles based on the modern day ecology revolution. The time has come to critically assess our energy situation and weigh the solutions to securing adequate energy resources with consideration for all. Today, I wish to discuss some considerations for offshore measurement presently facing us and some future ideas bearing consideration.
