Abstract: Analytical chemistry is that area of chemistry concerned with the measurement and identification of the individual constituents of matter. Analytical chemistry, at the college undergraduate level in the 1930s, consisted primarily of wet chemistry. In the past thirty years, many techniques have been brought to the fore, which are properly classified as instrumental analysis.
