Abstract: To remain competitive in the gas industry today, gas meter manufacturers must continually search for new ways to improve their products. They must not only improve the performance of their products, but also find ways to reduce their manufacturing costs. These improvements might be a new mechanical device to be installed in a meter or simply making an existing part from a less expensive or more durable material. However, before any changes are made to a meter, enough tests must be conducted to insure that no adverse effects will appear as a result of this change.
