Abstract: Deregulation of the natural gas industry has resulted in significant changes on gas ownership between the wellhead and the burner tip. This has resulted in an increased emphasis on the timely and accurate tracking of natural gas as it moves through the gathering, transmission, and distribution system. Gas meters, a variety of types and sizes, are relied on for carrying out this monitoring process.
