Abstract: Eversource is a local distribution company serving 51 communities with 275,000 customers covering 1,067 square miles of Central and Eastern Massachusetts. The company has been serving customers as a LDC since the mid 1800s. Eversources service territory is urban where district regulating facilities are usually buried in sidewalks and relief vents are not embraced as an over - pressure protection method. District regulators are typi - cally permitted to reside within town sidewalks by a street opening permit or grant of location process
