Abstract: The V-Cone differential pressure meter was introduced in the early 80s. Initial customer review of the technology at that time was skeptical due to the radical change in emphasis of the flow regime from a central portion of a closed conduit (orifice plate) to fluid velocity profile around a centrally mounted cone at that time unheard of.
