Abstract: The effect of volume corr ections factors on crude oil quantity determination is extremely important due to the loss or profit of the quantity. Volume correction factors that used on the quantity calculations are published by ASTM , these factors were derived from a set of samples in the world .and the samples have been supplied an d individual physically studied by NBS to show the behavior of crude oils and to determine the coefficient of thermal expansion (alpha) for each crude sample
