Abstract: Large capacity displacement meters are those used in the measurement of gas to the industrial or commercial customer. The lower capacity limit for the industrial meter has been somewhat arbitrarily established, but generally any meter having a V2 capacity of 500 CFH or larger falls in the large capacity meter category. These meters are used extensively for measuring gas at a vacuum or at various working pressures up to 350 p.s.i.g. These meters are capable of extremely accurate measurement over wide flow ratios and relatively little maintenance is required when the meters are properly applied and maintained.
