Abstract: The need for effectively determining gasoline content of casinghead gas has increased significantly over the past few years, in line with the growing importance of gas and natural gas liquids as commodities produced by the petroleum industry. Equipment for making gasoline content tests has been improved, but in a large measure, the accuracy ol the tests is dependent upon the skill of the tester, and the precautions he takes in carrying out his work. It is the purpose of this paper to outline some of the pitfalls that await the unwary tester, and to suggest ways to overcome them.
