Abstract: In 1969, anticipating the gap between supply and demand of natural gas, particularly along the Eastern Seaboard, to grow wider, Cabot Corporation foriped its wholly owned subsidiary, Distrigas Corporation. Distrigas anticipated it could fill this gap by importing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from Algeria.
