Abstract: In order to minimize the uncertainty arising from measurements of volume provers, we consider the thin liquid films that form inside the provers inner surfaces, such as the interior walls of standard tanks and bell provers. These thin films adhere to the surface and may carry a given amount of mass and volume which can impact on the prover-side measurement uncertainties
