Title: Instrument Calibration Using The Pneumatic Deadweight Tester
Author: Bob Pitre

Abstract: The pneumatic deadweight tester was developed 25 years ago for calibration of low pressure instruments. Through the years the tester has undergone many refinements that have increased its range capabilities. Pneumatic testers are now capable of calibrating instruments that range from 4 inches of water pressure to 1000 PSIG. For demonstration purposes, a pneumatic tester with an output pressure calibrated in inches of water will be later used to show how the pneumatic tester is used in instrument calibration.
