Abstract: This discussion is primarily concerned with unaccounted for gas in distribution systems and the analysis of the factors contributing to the total unaccounted-for quantity. Leakage is the factor which is of most concern because it represents a real loss of gas (and money) and indicates a possible hazard to life and property. Measurement error can also represent a oss of money and must usually be identified in o* T to evaluate leakage.
