Abstract: A flow performance evaluation of two 8-inch (200 mm) ultrasonic meter (USM) dual meter packages has been conducted to determine if acoustic signal interference between meters can occur and cause meter errors. Each meter package was tested, as received (i.e., no calibration) in high-pressure (5600 to 6100 kPa) natural gas flows over flow ranges, in terms of pipe Reynolds number (Re), from 1x106 to 12x106. Detailed description of the test procedures with presentation and discussion of results, including diagnostic outputs from each meter set, will be presented in the paper.
