Abstract: Flow rate measurements based on volume or flow velocity are prone to measurement errors that occur when a fluids physical, chemical or flow velocity distribution characteristics change. Realizing this, flowmeters based on the well known Coriolis principle are becoming more widely used and accepted for many applications. This is because they measure flow directly on a the basis of mass rather than volume.
