Abstract: This paper outlines the review process that a proposed interstate LNG facility undergoes when filed at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and specifically as it applies to the environmental/engineering design review conducted by the staff. The paper covers the review process for both import/export and peakshaving facilities however, baseload LNG import/ export facilities always mean additional detailed review and usually greater controversy.
