During the past several years there has been a tendency on the part of most gas companies to use meters which have a greater degree of accuracy and which measure the product which they have to sell, with a higher efficiency. For this purpose the orifice meter and the large capacity positive meter has become almost a standard proposition with all gas companies who find it necessary to measure large volumes of gas either at high or low pressures.
