THESE INCLUDE THE NEED FOR A BROADER BASED ENGINEERING EDUCATION, AN ORIENTATION TOWARDS INDUSTRY, CIVILIAN AND GLOBAL MARKETS, THE NEED FOR MORE ENGINEERS IN POLICY-MAKING POSITIONS AND A GREATER PARTICIPATION OF ENGINEERS IN THE SHAPING OF PUBLIC POLICY HAVING A TECHNOLOGY CONTENT.
