Abstract: At this time it would be well to define some of the terms which are commonly used in discussing the testing for water vapor in natural gas. Hydrocarbons Any of the heavier ends of natural gas such as Propane- Butane-Pentane, etc. Dew Point The temperature at which a vapor will drop out as a liquid. Water Content Number of pounds of water per MMCF gas at a specific pressure base and temperature. Hydrate A combined mass of water and hydrocarbons in a state similar to ice.
