Abstract: A c c u r a t e gas measurement depends on p r e c i se measurement of small pressures and d i f f e r e n t i a l p r e s s u r e s . Large volumes of gas are bought and s o l d every day. Therefore, the utmost accuracy i s d e s i r e d in our measurement of these volumes. For t h i s reason the manometer is of prime importance to the gas i n d u s t r y . The s i m p l i c i t y , i n h e r e n t accuracy and v e r s a t i l i t y of manometers l e n d them to broad a p p l i c a t i o n in c a l i b r a t i o n, t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g and meter maintenance leak t e s t i n g.
