Today it is commonplace for persoimel at all levels of a company to communicate with and utilize information from flow computers. These computers can be in the control room of a petrochemical plant or at remote measurement locations performing a wide variety of applications. In most cases, whether the unit is being operated locally or remotely, communication is established to utilize the information on a real-time basis. Some of the benefits these devices provide are greater accuracy, real-time information, process control, conmiunications, and a stored history of process conditions.
