Abstract: Since early in the 1960s catalytic heaters have bn available to the oil and gas industry. In the beginning only a few carpanies would try to apply a gas heater that operated without a flame to overccnie some of the many problems encountered in the production, transmission and distribution of natural gas. After nearly fifteen (15) years the flamoless catalytic heater has beccme recognized as a standard with measurement personnel, along with the many otlier conventional methods of freeze-up protection.
