Abstract: Coriolis flowmeters provide precision mass and volumetric flow and density measurement. The electronics needed for these measurements can be leveraged to provide diagnostic outputs to track and trend measurements and the processes in which the meters are used. This paper discusses these diagnostics. Coriolis flowmeters can be proven like any other type of flowmeter. Proving can be costly and difficult in some processes. Because of this, several techniques to verify the measurement of the Coriolis meter have been devel- oped. This paper discusses, compares, and contrasts these techniques.
