Abstract: The Gas Processors Association has set up a tentative standard for converting measured volumes of natural gas liquids at operating conditions to equivalent liquid volumes of components at 60F and equilibrium vapor pressure. The reason for establishing such a standard can briefly be explained as a lack of the ability to establish a fair market value for natural gas liquids unseparated. Sellers want component prices buyers want bottom prices. Gas plants invested in fractionators to separate these natural gas liquids for sale to marketing agents of some type. As time passed, more and more of these by-products became marketable. As these markets became more and more competitive,
