Title: Flow Measurement With A Densitometer
Author: John R. Davis
Source: 1970 Southwestern Gas Measurement Short Course (Now called ISHM)
Year Published: 1970
Abstract: Density is calculated by dividing the mass of a substance by its volume. The UGC Industries Densitometer measures absolute density in terms of weight per unit volume. Why density measurement? Knowing only the density of a gas flowing within a pipeline and the differential pressure across the orifice plates the mass flow can be calculated.
