Abstract: Efficient implementation of metering stations into facilities for transportation and storage of hydrocarbons has demanded that complete measurement systems be assembled and thoroughly checked prior to field installation. The optimum means to accomplish this is to provide all metering and proving equipment, piping, and instrumentation packaged into a unit or skid, which may be easily transported to the field and connected to the other facilities.
