Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to evaluate economically the installation and operation of reciprocal engines versus turbines for driving gas compressors. More specifically the study compares reciprocal engines driving reciprocal compressors with aircraft and industrial gas turbines driving centrifugal compressors.
