Abstract: Perfection Corporation of Madison, Ohio, with funding from the New York Gas Group (NYGAS) and the Keyspan Energy Corporation (Brooklyn Union) has developed a new, unique, novel and economical process for the transfer of service from old retired mains to new mains without having to interrupt gas service to the customer. This new process is based on a new service tee design and is used with plastic service pipes of one and one-and-a-quarter inch size. The product was qualified through an extensive laboratory and field testing program and is currently available through Perfection Corporation.
