Abstract: Accuracy and reliability in gas heating value measurement is more important now than ever before in the conservation of our natural fuel resources. To maintain a high standard of measurement, the Recording Calorimeter must receive regular and intelligent servicing. This can only be accomplished if the maintenance personnel have a clear understanding of the underlying principles of the Recording Calorimeters and complete familiarty with the instruction book. The purpose of this paper, therefore, is to bring out and discuss the points which are most important in the maintenance routine.
