Abstract: Test equipment for Army systems is supported through a calibration hierarchy which ensures that all measurements are accurate and traceable to national standards or fundamental standards of nature. The Army Primary Standards Laboratory (APSL) is the highest echelon measurement laboratory in the Army, providing calibration services to other Army laboratories, research and development centers, and test ranges. Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometers (SPRT) l are used by Army area calibration and repair centers throughout the world.
