Title: The Oak Ridge Metrology Center Resistance Standards At The Y-12 Plant
Author: Ross Endsley
Source: 1996 Measurement Science Conference
Year Published: 1996
Abstract: This paper is a description of the renovation and upgrading of a resistance measurement station in a standards laboratory. The laboratory has a long history in many measurement disciplines, and the historical records on resistance standards have provided a good foundation for the future. Innovative use is made of an unusual mix of stable resistance standards. Measurements are automated using personal computer-based graphical interface software. Statistical analysis is applied to the data to provide uncertainty estimates and to improve confidence. Proven ratio techniques avoid dependency on instrument accuracy.
