Abstract: Edge computing is a newer computing paradigm that allows for processing data at the edge of the network, rather than at a central location. This is accomplished by placing computing resources, such as servers or gateways, closer to the devices generating data. This reduces latency, improves bandwidth utilization, and reduces the amount of data that needs to be transmitted over the network. Edge computing has numerous applications, one of which is SCADA, or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition.
