Abstract: There are numerous methods of establishing the cargo value of liquefied natural gas prior to transfer. Because LNG exists in liquid form ai temperatures well below those traditionally encountered by the gas industrv, new measurement instruments, materials and techniques are needed to provide the necessary information. In addition. LNG is a concentrated form of potential energy with high unit value and. therefore, precision and accuracy of the value measurement must be recognized, established, and improved if necessary to maintain equity in trade.
