Abstract: Not too many years ago, when fuel gas cost was only several cents per thousand cubic feet, methods of measurement and sampling did not warrent the same attention that they do today. With the price of gas passing the two dollar plus mark and the push on to conserve energy, most companies are finding it necessary to update measurement and sampling techniques if they wish to remain in todays competitive market.
