Abstract: The Transco LNG Storage Facility was put in operation officially in October 1965. At the time, it was the only LNG Plant this far advanced in the United States. At present there are twelve plants in the U.S., eight of which are operating and four in various stages of construction. The Transco Facility uses the cascade system with Ethylene and Propane as refrigerants and this paer will be concerned with the specific operation and problems encountered there-in.
