Title: Handling, Gauging And Transporting Carbon Black Feedstocks
Author: Earl J, Estopinal

Abstract: In order to appreciate the quality and quantity requirements of carbon black feedstocks, one should obtain a basic understanding of the product which is produced from this raw material. Carbon Black is a colloidal form of carbon, produced by the thermal decomposition of the hydrocarbon feedstock. While it is essentially 100% carbon, Carbon Black does contain other matter such as Hydrogen, Oxygen, Sulfur, and Ash. The sulfur and ash have adverse effects on the end uses of the Carbon Black, and can be regarded as contaminants.
