Abstract: Internal auditors are not only responsible for auditing financial areas within their companies, but also are usually responsible for evaluating technical operational areas such as gas measurement. Equipped with a sound methodology for auditing processes, the gas measurement auditor can provide value to management by assessing the effectiveness of the design of the svstem of internal control in place as well as compliance with the system as designed.
