Title: Orifice Meters - Operation And Maintenance
Author: Robert H. Parrish

Abstract: History shows us that as early as 1895, Mr. T. R. Weymouth began using the orifice plate clamped between two flanges, with a water column, and later a meter to record differential pressure drops to calculate the amount of gas flowing through a line. Since that time, man has continued to improve the meter, the meter run and orifice plate in order to be as proficient as he can in measuring gas flows in and out of the system.
