Abstract: The reliability of readings from analytical devices is completely dependent upon the integrity of the sample being representative of the flowing gas. In order to ensure the validity of the sample, measurement personnel should have an understanding of how processes involved with sample extraction, pressure reduction, sample temperature stability, and sample transport time impact the sample integrity. This presentation will discuss considerations in the proper design of sample conditioning systems.
