Abstract: An automatic AC-DC difference measurement system was developed for the characterization of Thermal Voltage Converters (TVCs) from 0.5 to 10 Volts at frequencies ranging from 0.1 to 100 MHz. It utilizes conercially available equipment and incorporates an automated version of the measurement method (Null Balancing) used at the National Bureau of Standards. Automatic adjustment of the direct voltage is accomplished using the response characteristic (n-factor) of the standard and unknown TVCs.
