Abstract: Most people in industry are familiar with the term orifice flowmeter. It is classified as a flow measurement device, along with turbine flowmeters, positive (PD) flowmeters, and others. It is the most commonly used method of flow measurement. Many liquid flows and the great majority of gas flows are presently measured using the orifice flowmeter.
