Abstract: To insure the most reliable measurement of gas and other fluids possible, it is important that orifice meter tubes are fabricated in compliance with accepted industry standards. The most common orifice metering standard used is the ANSI/API 2530, also known as AGA-3. This paper will focus on Part 2, Construction and Installation Requirements, of the standard, which addresses the methods, procedures and equipment used in the inspection and micrometer measurement of orifice meter tubes.
