Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present some of the basic fundamentals and phases of operation in conducting gas leakage safety surveys and the types of instruments used. A safety survey program should consist of well trained and experienced instructors and qualified personnel. Instruments should be up to date, safety approved and well maintained.
