Abstract: The two commonly used devices for the measurement of gas are the positive displacement meter and the orifice meter. This report concerns only the meter run, a complimentary part of the orifice meter. The generally accepted authority by the oil and gas industry for orifice metermg of natural gas is Gas Measurement Committee Report No. 3 pubhshed by the American Gas Association, in cooperation with National Bureau of Standards, A.S.M.E. Research Committee on Fluid Meters, and Pipeline Research Committee.
