Abstract: The automatic chart changer was developed primarily to satisfy the chart changing problems of gas transmission and gas production companies that had remotely Installed flow, pressure and temperature recorders. In recent years, there has been a growing problem of finding people near measurement facilities who are willing or able to change charts at a specified time of day, 365 days a year. So, the automatic chart changer has become a common component of many measurement stations. The old people problem of chart changing was thus eliminated, but some new and different problems came with the new equipment.
