Abstract: There are many reasons why it may be necessary to measure the pressure of a gas such as air or carbon dioxide, or a liquid such as water or oil. While in sane applications only a rough indication of the pressure is needed, in others an accurate measurement may be required to avoid endangerment of personnel and equipment.
