Abstract: Training for technicians or engineers who are performing high accuracy measurements must be an ongoing practice. One way the Electromagnetic Standards Laboratory of the U.S. Army Primary Standards Laboratory (APSL) addresses this is with cross training for multiple systems. This paper will give some examples of training for redundancy and uniformity. It will also show how the APSL incorporates this process in proficiency testing and evaluates individual and group performance. Some proposed changes to the APSL data structures will be discussed and their impact to the program
