Abstract: The duty of a gas pressure regulator is to reduce the pressure of gas flowing through it to a lower pressure and to maintain the reduced pressure constant within certain limits. A regulator is essentially an automatic mechanism in which there is continuous motion and, consequently, it will require periodic service and maintenance. To be able to perform these operations in the shortest time and with the least difficulty, it is necessary to understand how a regulator is constructed and how it operates
