Abstract: Detection and accurate measurement of moisture in natural gas is an Important, yet an elusive, undertaking. The reasons to measure the moisture content of natural gas will be presented with this paper along with discussion regarding various methods for measurement and the history of their development. Primitive as well as state-of-theart moisture measurement techniques will he reviewed along with the benefits and disadvantages of each. This paper ends with an in-depth exploration of operation and maintenance on one such device-the Moisture Titrator. Information contained herein should equip the student with overall knowledge of all moisture measurement devices commonly used in the natural gas industry, and enable intelligent selection (based upon the inhr-rent advantages and disadvantages of each) of the correct instrument for any particular situation.
